Wonderful Watercolor!

Good morning to all!  Isn't this absolutely amazing??  My swapping friend, Kimberly Allen, made this card for our swap.  She is so talented in so many different ways--truly an amazing person!  She used the stamp set, Always Thankful from the holiday mini and paired it with the spice cake dsp also from that same mini catalog.  Her watercoloring on this project is truly amazing.  The wheelbarrow just wows me!  I love the blend of color to create that rusty look.  Thanks for stopping by today.

Stamp a Stack

Here is one of the stacks from a recent stamp a stack class I had.  I love the black and white theme.  They were so versatile.  I have them do 3 different designs and 4 each of that design so they go home with 12 cards and envelopes at the end of the class.

I used the fabulous florets stamp set which was in the summer mini and it made the current IB&C.  Some black satin ribbon and rhinestones to accessorize.  The sayings you see here come from a couple of sets, friendly phrases and a word for you.  Thanks for stopping by today.

I LOVE sunflowers!

Isn't this just beautiful???  I received this from my good friend, Penny, this week and I have gotten so much enjoyment already from it.  I love fall and these sunflowers are just lovely.  Then a couple days later I received this card from my swapping friend, Sharon Burkert.

This card has a black base with Calypso Coral for the focal color.  She used the single big sunflower stamp found on page 149 and the my friend saying from the stamp set called My Friend on page 139.  She used the new scallop dotted ribbon and a rhinestone to accessorize.  The inside has more sunflowers stamped on it and a handwritten note from her.  So beautiful!!

Hello Doily!

Today's post is a card we made at last week's stamp a stack card class.  It uses the Hello Doily stamp which is a big background type stamp that is new to our current IB&C.
We stamped it onto the wisteria cs with versamark ink and showed them how to make the scallop square portion of the card be the folded base of the card.  You take two scallop square pieces that were die cut with the Big Shot and make the fold at the top.  I learned this technique from my blogging friend, Emma, you can find her here at Lady & the Stamp .  She has a great "how to" on her blog of how to do this.   Other stamp set used is called Petite Pairs (page 164).  I love this set.  So one on the front of the card and the other on the inside--see below.  The crochet trim is victoria (page 194) and goes with the doily theme so well.

We didn't do this inside part at the class but it would work wonderfully since we have a triple layer punch in doily style--what a great idea SU!!!  A big thanks to Robin as well for sharing this trick with Emma who shared with me!  Sharing ideas, that's what it is all about!  Enjoy the rest of your day!
