One Year Anniversary!

I just realized that today is my one year anniversary for this blog!  Yippee!  I can't believe I waited so long to do this blog--it has been such fun this last year sharing with all of you.  This is NOT my only post for today so look on--you'll love what you see!  Thanks for stopping by!

Sale-a-Bration continues

Sale-a-Bration time continues on for us and what a great time of year it is!!  It is the biggest sale of the year for Stampin' Up!  Be sure to check out all the information by clicking HERE.  You will find info for customers, hostesses, and new recruits.

For the card today, I got a thank you card from a dowline of mine--absolutely so fun and cute!  This card was created by Sharon Brusett.  Be sure to check out the recruiting special for SAB--only $125 to join my team!

Isn't this just such a cute idea??  She took the full heart punch and folded them and made a flower with them.  She used the Everyday Enchantment dsp from the Sale-a- Bration catty which you can get for FREE with a qualifying purchase of $50 so stock up and save! Below you can see the inside of the card done with the Elementary Elegance SAB set and dsp.  Base card is Peach Parfait cs.

After seeing this it inspired me to try to make some of these flowers and this is what I came up with.  Thanks Sharon for the inspiration!  Sharon's card is on the left and mine on the right.  I added some of the tasteful trim for a stem and the leaves done with the circle punch.  I have been showing this little trick at some of my recent workshops.  If you would like to learn how, call or email and we will book a workshop for you and your friends.

The two cards below, are both my creations from Sharon's inspiration.  I like having the greeting on the front of the card.  These are so fun and springtime like.  I think even though we have had a pretty mild winter here, we all are having spring thoughts!  Greeting is from Curly and Cute.  Also used the framed tulip folder and the Big Shot on these cards with a little tea stain around the edges.  You can find this distressing kit in our main catalog on page 203.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Birthday!

Today's post is a birthday gift certificate holder.  I had a wonderful husband call me this week to get a gift certificate for his wife's birthday.  I had some extra time so I made up this holder for the certificate.

I used the flirtatious specialty paper and made a tri-fold holder with belly bands to hold it shut.  I am loving making the little flagged ends with the square punches.  Some die cut fun flowers that were textured with the square lattice and polka dot folders.  Melon mambo and pretty in pink were the colors used along with the white greeting piece.  I really enjoyed doing this.  Happy Birthday!

Mixed bunch sympathy

Today's post is a sympathy card--seems I have been needing a lot of those here lately.   I am loving this Mixed Bunch set from the occasion's mini catalog.

These cards were made for sisters who lost their Dad recently.  I added a little bit of sponging to the first one and did the lace ribbon differently on it.  It is a great way to use up scrap pieces of dsp on the flagged banners.

The Mixed Bunch has a matching punch to punch the flowers out so that makes it really easy.  I love  punches!  With Sympathy saying comes from Loving Thoughts also out of the occasion's mini.
Thanks for stopping by today.  Enjoy!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi all!   A couple cards to share today.  I've been a bit lacking in posting.  I have been busy with lots of different irons in the fire.  From ranching duties to stamping duties.  Anyway I hope your Valentine's Day is filled with wishes come true for you!

This first card I cased from somewhere on the internet--can't remember where but I did it up in cherry cobbler with the new hearts embossing folder from the occasion's mini and the stamp sets including I Heart Hearts and the Delightful Dozen.  The heart to heart punch also adds some heart to this project.
Happy Valentine's Day!

This second card was created by me.  I used the Sprinkled Expressions Sale-a-bration set along with wisteria wonder color theme.    The dsp from the bottom comes from Sweet Shop out of the occasion's mini.  The oval folder is from the designer frames folders on page 218 of the current IB&C.  I love how you can use the ovals die to cut the ovals and then texture them with this folder.  Awesome!  I love this bunch of in colors, other colors used here are lucky limeade, and pool party.
Thanks for stopping by today.

More Mixed Bunch

I have been playing with this stamp set a lot lately!  I love it and most of all, I love that there is a punch to match the flowers!  No cutting them out--yippee.

I am loving the color combo of soft suede, peach parfait, and vanilla together.  It uses the Mixed Bunch stamp set, Happiest Birthday Wishes (hostess offering)stamp set, dotted scallop ribbon border punch, lace ribbon, etc.  Notice I used a square punch to flag the end of the greeting and dsp.  A little sponging to add interest to the flower.  Some stampin' dimensionals to pop it up a bit.  The dsp comes from the SAB offering called Everyday Enchantment.  Have a great day; thanks for stopping by.

Black and White

Today's card is done in black and white--I love this color combo!  I know that many of you do too.  It does make a great combo for sympathy cards.

This uses the Loving Thoughts from the occasion's mini (page 15) for the greeting.  It is really pretty simple using the elegaqnt bouquet emboss folder and beautiful wings embosslit die with the Big Shot to do the rest.  I added some black to the middle of the flowers with a marker and some pearls to the center of the butterflies using the pearl jewels found on page 198 of th 2011-2012 IB&C.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great one!

Birthday wishes

Today's post has a birthday card that I made for Jillian's boyfriend.  Masculine cards are always difficult ones for me ....

It uses the Bring on the cake stamp set on page 66 of the current IB&C.  I dug out my stampin' pastels to color it in with.  The houndstooth embossing folder for some texture and linen thread to embellish with.  The vintage trinkets add to this card as well.  Pastels are a wonderful way to get all the colors from SU in one shot.  I just use a q-tip or the applicators that come with it to apply them and then a little aerosol hair spray to set them.  Quick and easy to use.  The flags on the left side are made by using a square punch and turn it upside down, slide your cardstock in to one of the corners, adjust so it's even and punch.  I hope that makes sense but if it doesn't just call me and book a workshop and let me know that you want to learn how to make those and we'll implement that into the class.  :-)  I'd love to stamp with you if you are fairly local!
