Sale-a-Bration is here!

Today I am showing another SAB set in a layout that I use quite often--my new friend, Susan from leadership, swapped a card with me using this layout and it inspired this card.  Thanks Susan!

It uses the dsp that is in the SAB catty called Everyday Enchantment!  It is absolutely beautiful!  I love it!  The stamp set comes from the SAB exclusive set called Elementary Elegance.  I added some pearls for bling.  That makes every card better I think.  Then I just pulled colors from the dsp to put the card together using calypso coral, poppy red, crumb cake base and vanilla.  You can see a bit of paper piercing and of course, the pool party ribbon.  I love the ribbons to match.

Most of you know that the SAB products used in today's project are available to you FREE by making a $50 purchase.  You can head on over to my website by clicking  HERE!  Then click on the "Shop Now" button.

Thanks for stopping by today!

San Antonio Picks

I am going to share a make and take from the leadership I attended last week in San Antonio.  Stampin' Up!  spoils us so much at their events.  I came home with lots of FREE goodies.  The stamp set used here was one of those goodies, mixed bunch stamp set from the occasion's mini.  It has a punch to match called blossom and can be found on page 17 of that mini catalog.

While we were there we got the chance to attend some meetings to help us run our business.  I attended some great meetings by some SU employees and some demonstrators as well.
Brian Pilling had a great class on growing your downline.  He focused on 5 different points.  He had us right after lunch so had his hands full to keep us all awake!  Mid point thru his class I looked down my row--and some were sleeping!  We had really comfortable theatre chairs which made it tough--but no sleep in my eyes--too much info to take in!
You had to pick and choose your classes which is always tough for me but I took a class from Donna Griffith and Patsy Waggoner.  Donna is from the home office and Patsy is a demo as is Donna I believe.  Many of the workers at the home office are also demos which really is great as they undertand what we go thru.  The name of our conference was "My Way" and that is exactly what they focused on was to give us ideas of how to make it better doing it our way.  I got some great tips to engage your downline in this class.  I am excited to get these tips into use.
Natalie White and Jim Pitt did a class on coaching--now I never really looked at myself as a coach for my downline but I guess in a way I am.  I like to look at myself as their biggest cheerleader!  They gave some great decision making tips that we can use for our business or personal life.
Amy Schwartz and Paula Critchlow did a class on how to focus on the age group of 25-35 year olds--a new generation of stampers!  They did a survey of not just SU customers but lots of people in this age group.  Well over half value creativity.  We are all born with creativity; we just need to use it.  Some people think they are not creative--not true!  I have a daughter this age and so many of the things they talked about in this class made me think---wow, this is just like her!  They did a great job and this was a fun class to take.  Now they said 25-35 year olds but I think it is more like 18-35 years of age.
Keep in mind that this is a great time to be a customer, hostess, or new recruit.  With it being Sale-a-bration time we have great offers for all.

It uses the hostess bundle from pages 6 & 7 of the SAB catalog.  This bundle is available to everyone that has a $400 workshop or better for FREE.  Or you can get them individually as well, for free, with a $50 purchase.  The stamp set is called Fresh Vintage and the dsp is Everyday Enchantment.  It coordinates with many of our "in colors".  I used calypso coral and pool party with this card.  The ribbon comes from the regular catalog and is ruffled.....so very pretty in real life!

Frame Art by Jillian!

This frame was created by my daughter, Jillian, who is home staying with us for a while as she waits for her paperwork to clear so she can move to Canada!  Exciting times ahead for her and she has a job awaiting her when she gets there as an interior designer, which is what she did in Seattle area for a couple years now.

Here are a couple of close up pictures.  She has all kinds of dimension in this artwork.  I love it!

Snowmen--but no snow here!

Hard to believe it January here in Montana and we are having record breaking temperatures with NO snow!  These cards are some I made during the holidays and sent out as either Christmas or New Year's cards!  The stamp sets are Jolly Bingo Bits, and Teeny, tiny wishes.  A couple of my fav's.  I use teeny tiny wishes all the time!  It uses Cherry Cobbler, Wild Wasabi, qnd Whisper White cardstocks.

Lots of punches used with the scallop circle, 1¼ inch circle, 1 3/8 inch circle, corner rounder& modern label .  A little bling with the rhinestones and cherry cobbler baker's twine.  Be sure to take a peek in the occasion's mini to see the new colors of baker's twine we have now!  The embossing folder used to make the background is snowburst which is carried over from the holiday mini and it's item code number is 124096.  A little glue pen and dazzling diamonds glitter to ground the snowman and that's it!  Thanks for stopping by today--make it a good one!

Product tip
Here is my tip for the day....when attaching the piece of embossed cardstock to the base card (on this card it is white on white so you may have to look closely); it works best to use the green tombow glue found on page 206 of the IB&C.  The snail adhesive usually comes loose but have found the best results with this glue.

Beautiful Sunrise!

Here is a picture of our sunrise this morning out my kitchen window--isn't it beautiful??  I wish I had a better camera sometimes to catch these moments a bit better.  :-)

Have a great day!

New Goodies!

Here's a card made with the stamp set called Apothecary Art from the new Occasion's Mini Catalog.  It comes in both wood and clear mount.  I used several new products besides the new stamp set that can be found on page 24 & 25.  Also used the new framelit dies in the labels collection found on page 6, the 3/8 inch pleated ribbon (LOVE this) in pear pizzazz found on page 12, and the edgelit die adorning accents found on page 7.  The base card is very vanilla and also used blushing bride, riding hood red, and pear pizzazz for colors.  Last but not least, I added some dazzling details to the center of the flowers that has been carried over from the Holiday mini catalog.  You may want to click on the card to see this part better.
Here is what the stamp set looks like:

You Are Loved

Happy  Monday to you!  I can't believe that time is quickly ticking to the end of this holiday mini catalog!  Tomorrow, Jan. 3rd is the last day to order from it.  I am giving you some samples today of cards made with the You are Loved set.  You can get this set in wood or clear mount.

It is a set of 7 stamps.
123779 for clear mount $23.95
123777 for wood mount $31.95

This is not only good for Valentine's Day but other times as well.  It would make great anniversary or wedding cards.  And as you look at the samples you will see that I made a  friend card to send to someone to let them know that I am thinking of them.

This first card was a swap I got from Sharon Skelton and it is a side step card.  The hearts are punched from the red glimmer paper and the picture doesn't give justice to how pretty they are!  You also don't see the steps really well but some of you have gotten to see this card in person.

This card has double duty embossing folder.  I have seen this many times on other blogs but one of the gals that I stamp with had it recently on her blog.  Sharon B., thanks for the refresher.  You do your stamping first, then run it thru the polka dot emb. folder and then run it again thru with the tulip frame folder.  Amazingly the polka dots stay there.  I love the look it presents!  The bow is with the baja breeze seam binding, pulling on a center string to gather the ends a bit.

This card is very simple with just a touch of glue pen and glitter to the center of the flowers.  I used the new simply scored scoring tool to make the embossed lines around the edges.  You can find this in the holiday mini catalog as well on page 6 & 7.  I saw a card similar to this on a blog a while back--I added a bit to mine but the card on her site was inspiration--thanks Mary A.

Item code #122334   $29.95

Important Stampin' Up! News
Item #124104 is no longer available.  This is the 3/8" early espresso quilted satin ribbon.  It was found on page 30 of the holiday mini.  They ran out and since the catalog is about to end they just discontinued it.  I hope you all got it while it was available cause it was wonderful!!  My club ladies all got to use it several times this fall.

Now before time runs out.....if you would like to place an order for the You are Loved stamp set that was featured here today be sure to go to my website or you can click here and it will take you to my online store.
