Rosette Card by Linda

I got this wonderful card from my downline, Linda.  She did such a wonderful job and it so brightened my day to receive it.

I love the colors; and she made the rosette without the die but using her scoring tool and the dsp is discontinued..  It was called Spice Cake.  It is paired with soft sky cs, also discontinued and chocolate chip cs.  The big shot items used are the polka dot folder and the paper doily sizzlit die.  I just thought it was soooooo very pretty.  Greeting comes from a package of rub ons called chit chat.  You might be able to find some of these items on the Clearance Rack that are discontinued.  Go to my website, www.rheastamps.stampinup.net  and click the shop now button and then choose " clearance rack" on the left hand side.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Good Sunday Morning!

Today's post is a card I made welcoming a new baby, my nephew, Lance,  and his wife are the proud new parents of a baby boy.  So here is the card I made to go with their gift.

It uses the packed for baby stamp found on page 39 of the occasion's mini catalog.  The greeting is from the Friendly Phrases stamp set on page 162 of the IB&C.  Colors are very vanilla and marina mist.  Then of course you have to do the inside to match.  :-)

The inside verse comes from curvy verses found on page 154 of the current IB&C.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.  I am off to work on the mystery hostess workshop.

Mystery Hostess is here!

Today is the day; the mystery hostess begins!  You will email or phone(contact info at the bottom of this post) me orders thru tomorrow, Saturday, March 24th by 8 pm.  Then I will draw for hostess benefits, splitting them up a little, so more people have a chance to win something FREE.  All who place orders will also be entered for door prize drawings.  Further details of this are in blog post entitled Mystery Hostess Time! on March 21, 2012.  You can scroll down and see it.  I will be posting the winners of hostess benefits on Sunday and you can contact me with your choice.  It's gonna be fun!!!  Don't forget Sale-a-bration ends this month so get those items for FREE while you can.  Probably my most favorite FREE item has been the Everyday Enchantment designer series paper (dsp)!  Today's card uses it and a embosslit that was used in my Big Shot training that my club members got this past month called Beautiful Wings.

and it is always fun to decorate the inside of the card too....

colors used are pool party, poppy parade, peach parfait, and whisper white.  Stampin' Up!  makes color choice so easy for us sometimes----I just picked colors that were in the dsp.  It is that easy!
I look forward to getting your order--lets make this a great workshop!

Mystery Hostess Time!

It's bath time!
It's mid week already!  Wow where does the time go???

Today I am announcing the Mystery Hostess workshop.  This will happen on Friday and Saturday of this week. How does this work you ask??

You will email or phone orders to me on March 23rd and 24th (this will be a two day event).  It's giving you one more chance to get your FREE Sale-a-bration items.  With every $50 you get to pick an item for FREE.  You can click on the catalogs in my side bar to view them.  After all the orders are in, I will be entering names for the drawing of the hostess benefits.  Maybe even the chance at a 1/2 off item if we get to that $400 level.  I will even being do some door prizes--how many depends on the amount of participation.  You can order from either the IB&C 2011-2012 or the occasion's mini that is current right now.  You can find them in the right hand side bar for download here.

As for the drawing, here's how it works.  For every $10 you spend you will get your name in the drawing once.  If you get to pick a FREE SAB item then you will get a bonus entry for the drawing.  So with a $50 order you will be entered 6 times, not just 5.  This will continue to work as incrments go up.  You can win more than one time, depends on how lucky you are!

Redemption of the hostess picks will be on Sunday, March 25th.  So please be available via phone or email to do that.  If you aren't available you may want to give me some suggestions when you order of things you might like just in case you win.  I will post the winners here and via email so  you can look to see.  Have questions, just ask.

Have a great day!  I'll try to post a card a little later today.

Life and Times

So I thought I would share a little of what's been keeping me so absent from this blog lately.......

Here is one of our two year olds with her first calf!  Just a day old here.

Naptime for some, lunchtime for others, no schedule around here these days!

This is another two year old with her first calf.  She is one out of my milking stock that have beed bred to angus for so long they don't show much of the milking stock anymore but they still provide good milk and I use them for nurse cows if we need them.  She is gentle tho--you can pet her and feed her by hand.

Now for the stamping post for the day--I will share a card that I saw on a blog somewhere and tweaked it to my liking.  I love this mocha morning specialty dsp.

Also uses the My Friend stamp set, some 3/8 inch taffeta ribbon, & scallop trim border punch.

Don't forget the mystery hostess workshop is coming yet later this week.....stay tuned for details!  Get those wish lists made!

Snowy Monday in Montana!

We have a snowy Monday in Montana--it is very wet snow and a wind with it--Imagine that??  The wind almost always blows here where we live.  This morning I am going to share a couple cards we did at the last stamp a stack I had.  Enjoy!

It uses the I heart Hearts stamp set and the Word Play stamp set either in a navy or rich razzleberry theme.  The little die cut hearts come from the Fashionable hearts embosslit in the occasions mini catalog.  Some rhinestones for bling and olive satin ribbon.  The word play is stamped and then cut out using the big shot with the labels framelits collection.    Enjoy!

Mystery Hostess is coming yet this month!  Stay tuned for more details and make your wish list!

Oh March!

Somehow I knew that March would be this way--hang with me; sorry for the absence but calving takes over my life this time of the year.  Today I am posting yet another mixed bunch card.  I love this color combo with pool party, vanilla and black.

It uses the mixed bunch stamp set from the occasion's mini and greetings are from either loving thoughts (occasion's mini) or curly cute stamp sets.  I love that the mixed bunch has the blossom punch to coordinate and also used a square punch to make the flagged ends to the greetings.  Then the scallop trim border punch with the black cs.  The ribbon is a piece of 3/8 inch black taffeta with the chantilly over the top--love that look.  The dsp is first edition and is a specialty paper in the IB&C.  It is still Sale-a-bration time and if you would like to place an order I will tell you to keep watch here as later this month before it ends I am going to do a mystery hostess workshop here on the blog!  Stay tuned for details and due date.
