Distressed foil technique

I love this technique...gives that tarnished look and it pairs so nicely with the falling in love designer series paper.  It is really pretty easy to do.

So you take some gold foil paper found in the annual catalog. They come in 12 x 12 sheets, with 2 per pack.  Cut to the size you will need to die cut.  You will use a sanding block--they are retired from Stampin' Up!  but you can get them from most nail techs.  Use the block to sand the cs until some silver spots appear.  Use a little black ink to sponge over the top of this to give it that tarnished look.  Let it dry and then you can die cut it.

These first two cards were inspired by Linda Heller.  Love the dragonfly dreams bundle out of the Occasions catalog.

This card was my creation with this technique.  It uses the So In Love bundle and the Falling in Love dsp.  The gold glitter ribbon is a SAB pick and the doilies are another of my favs from the Occasions catty...they are vanilla on one side and white on the other.  Simply genius!
Have a great weekend!  Until next time...
Rhea
