To assemble one card, follow the instructions below:

1. Place the stamp on clear-mount block D or H rubber side up and ink with the Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Spot.
2. Stamp "Happy Birthday" at the bottom of the card front.
3. Ink the Sponge Dauber with Soft Suede ink and gently antique the doily and the edges of the dress form.
4. Adhere the pieces to the card front in this order:
   
   • Doily
   • Very Vanilla Cardstock
   • Dress form
   • Flower

Embellished Events

Tea Shoppe

Today's post is a card cased from one I saw online somewhere.  I just switched up the colors but kept the layout basically the same.

Retiring Colors!

Saturday Inspiration with FREE shipping

 

Today I am posting a card to help inspire your weekend stamping!

I love layering white on white--it makes it so clean and simple!  So this card is a regular size card with the base being a half sheet of 8½ x 11" cs.  So it is 5½ x 8½ scored at 4¼".  It has a 4 x 51/4" piece of white that was ran thru the Big Shot using the polka dot TIEF.  The flowers and foliage come from a stamp set called Summer Silhouettes.  The greeting comes from a retired set called Thank You Kindly.  I used the label framelits and scallop oval punch on those pieces with a touch of sponging on the edges.

We love color and we know that you do too. Color is fundamental to who we are and what we offer. It's important for us to stay up-to-date with color trends so we are thrilled to share our updated line of colors, and hope you will be as excited as we are by the new possibilities!

 

Why now? In 2010 we did a big color renovation and shared our plans for smaller color refreshes every three to five years to keep our colors on trend. Well it has been three years and we are excited to announce that the upcoming 2013-2014 annual catalog will include 10 new colors (most of which are returning In Colors from previous years)! We are welcoming back some of your favorites, moving some colors around, and introducing one brand-new color, so take a look!

Beginning on April 4, 2013, all retiring/discontinued color products (i.e. ink, paper, ribbon, accessories, etc.) will be available only while supplies last. This means that some products will not be available through the retired list period. We did anticipate increased demand and based our forecasts for these retiring colors on historical sales information from previous color transitions. However, even with the most careful planning, the response to a transition of this nature can surprise everyone--including you. I wanted to let you know that any of our retiring color products are only available while supplies last so get your favorites now. Embossing folder stamping

Today's post is a card that I made recently to try out the embossing folder stamping technique.  It was fun and pretty easy as well.  You will notice it on the crumb cake piece in this card.

 

It gives you that embossed look without actually embossing it.  You just ink up your folder on one side with ink, put your paper in and apply pressure with the brayer (with no ink on it) or a rolling pin to roll that ink onto the paper--be careful not to let your paper move within the folder.  The layered edge to the crumb cake is done with the victoria corchet trim on top and bottom of that cs piece.  A little paper piercing on the so saffron cs adds to the detail in this card.
