Amazing Birthday!

Today I am sharing a card that I received at convention from LeeAnn Greff and my spin off of that card.  Her card uses the cherry on top designer series paper (dsp) and the greeting comes from the tin of cards stamp set.  Both are new to the current catalog.

Those of you who have had the chance to experience convention, know the madhouse that I speak of when demonstrators are swapping cards.  It's crazy!  LeeAnn took a moment to explain her card when I spoke about the cute little window.  Here was what she used:

You just feed the designer series paper (dsp) into the punch as far as it will go making sure it is centered and punch.  This will give you one full size punch piece, which I will show you how to use in a second card.  Then turn it around 180 degrees and push all the way in as far as it will go again and line it up with previous punched area and punch.  You will just get some scraps that cut this time.
Now, LeeAnn stopped there.  I turned mine 90 degrees and repeated this punching pattern one more time to get this:

The greeting comes from the stamp set called Amazing Birthday.  I needed a masculine card so used some dsp that is retired...it was in the occasions catalog this  past spring.  Watch the clearance rack, sometimes it shows up there.  It was called Adventure Bound.
You can turn that piece one more time so all four sides are punched to get a more circular window.
Now, remember the one good punched piece?  Here is another card I made with that piece.

Both cards use the large polka dot embossing folder.  The greeting on this one comes from a FREE set we received at convention called Something to Say.  I frayed the burlap ribbon a bit on each end.  The tag piece was punched with the banner triple punch found on page 165 of the new catalog.
Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great week!
