Strength & Hope
Sorry it has been a while since I posted here. It's been busy with flooding, trying to get spring work done, branding, etc. It is raining again here today and with the ground being as saturated as it is we will be dealing with flood water again I am sure. I wanted to post a card I did this month for a swap that is done with the Strength and Hope set in the summer mini. Stampin' Up! donates $2 from the sale of each set to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Get yours today--you can order off my website at http://www.rheastamps.stampinup.net/

Fabulous Florets #2
Today's post is once again with the fabulous florets stamp set from the summer mini--I am loving this stamp set! It makes beautiful cards.
I love to combine ribbons as I did on this card, you may have to look closely but it uses the certainly celery 1/8" ribbon and the taffeta ribbon together. The flower looks pretty detailed but it wasn't bad to cut out and pop up with some dimensionals. Thanks for stopping by today--have a great day!

Fabulous Florets
Today's post is a card made by Mary Ammar. I love Mary's style and love her bright colors in this card. She used tangerine tango and rich razzleberry together for the flowers with a little dazzling diamonds glitter in the middle. Layering against the black makes for a very rich, bright card!
She used the Fabulous Florets set from the new summer mini. If you don't have one in your hot little hands you can download it by clicking on it over in the right hand margin of this blog. The greeting comes from the Friends 24-7 stamp set. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Dog Days
I am so ready for the Dog Days of Summer--I would be happy if spring would arrive and stay for a while. We are getting a teaser today in Montana but it is still snowing every couple days it seems. Today's post is a sympathy card that I made for my dear friend and downline, Denice. She lost her yorkie a while back and it was devastating for them.
It uses the D is for Dog set, some of the new baker's twine from the summer mini, some pearl accents, along with a little sponging. I used early espressso, riding hood red, and white cardstocks.
The inside of the cards are just as fun as the outside and this one showcases the new postage stamp punch from the summer mini. I hope it helped to brighten her day!

Oh Baby~~~
Today's post uses the baby tees jumbo wheel found on page 70 of the current idea book and catalog. It makes a cute baby card. Notice the paper piecing on the baby tee~~~a fun technique.
Other things used are:
stamps: Itty Bitty Backgrounds (retired), teeny tiny wishes
paper: DSP stack in subtles, whisper white cs, bashful blue cs, scrap of celery cs
punches: curly label, scallop circle 2 3/8", eyelet border
Ink: marina mist, bashful blue
Other: subtles button, bakers twine in white (summer mini peek), certainly celery ribbon, Big Shot, polka dot embossing folder, circles #2 die, glue dots and dimensionals.
Speaking of babies, I thought I would share a few calving pictures with you today as well, I am hoping we can get rid of snow and slop one day soon.
Above is cleaning the corral area as the slop is getting deep!
Jeff and Prince checkin' heifers on spring break! Isn't that what every college student wants to do on spring break~~~come home and work????
Prince is all tuckered out--nap time! I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Flower Fest
Here is a sneak peek at one of the stamp sets called Flower Fest from the Summer Mini. I did this for a challenge for Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch challenge. It was a fun and easy sketch to do and who doesn't love that? Here is the sketch to follow:
I did poppin' pastels with my versamark and chalks. I can't remember the last time I used my chalks for this. I used rich razzleberry, daffodil delight, marina mist, and certainly celery with a sponge daubers to add the pastels over the versamark. I light spray with aerosol hair spray sets the chalk for you. Then added a rich razzleberry layer and then the daffodil delight scallop edge. The base card is rich razzleberry as well. The greetings comes from the new summer mini set called Happy Greetings. A couple of rhinestone jewels finish off the banner greeting. I made the banner wavy (not sure if you can see that in the picture) by using my bone folder to curl it up and down. A square punch makes the banner end easy to do--just insert to the corner of the punch and punch it out.
This is my second post for today so don't miss the cupcake cards from earlier. Have a great day!
