Today's post is a sneak peek of a set called Best Day Ever that is coming in the Sale-a-bration catalog.  You will be able to get them for free with purchase come Jan 6, 2015!

This particular suite has the stamp set, an accessory pack and designer series paper all to coordinate together.  I love it!

Tags, tags, tags

Our annual family weekend has come and gone and a great time was had by all, with lots of cards, hunting, board games, cooking, eating, etc....however, we did get the tags made.  Pretty packages will be under the tree this year.  Here are some of what my SIL and I made.

and notice the negative of the Merry below.  Lots of embossing of both dry (above) and heat (below).
Some items are current and some are retired from Stampin' Up!

The dry embossing with folders on the gold and silver foil paper is so GORGEOUS!
Here is another use of the negative...no waste on this one!

Hope you enjoyed this post...thanks for stopping by...don't forget to check out the Year end closeout sale...it's like clearance rack on steroids!  :-)  LOL!  Head on over to my website and check it out under the shop button.  Look for Year End Closeouts.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all today!  I hope you are all enjoying time with family and friends this holiday weekend!

My first visitors arrived yesterday...

Now to share a card idea for inspiration with you all...This reminded me of Thanksgiving...

Color combo is from the color coach and is always artichoke, Cajun craze, and so saffron.  I used crumb cake for the greeting and splatter.  The splatter stamp comes from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set...what a versatile set.  I use it all the time!  Colored leaves are from the set out of the holiday catalog called For All things.  Thank you is a  photopolymer set found online at my website:  www.rheastamps.stampinup.net  Click the shop button and then search stamps for photopolymers.

Today I am posting a card I made for a color challenge.  Here was the challenge:

And...here is my card!
It uses the wonderous wreath stamp set with matching framelit found on page 9 of the holiday catalog.  The greeting is out of the set For all things on page 41.  I used the matching tangelo twist ribbon and the woodgrain TIEF for dimension along with some dimensionals to pop the wreath up off the card.  I LOVE these colors.

Winter thank you!

Today's post is a winter thank you made with punches.  I totally cased this card from Ronda W. and she cased it from someone else...so whoever came up with originally, Good JOB!  I love it.

It does require a template...that makes it easier so just take some scrap and create on like I did below.

It takes the 1 3/4 inch circle punch at the bottom, then the 1¼ inch circle punch, then the 1 inch circle, then do the square for the hat with the 1 inch square and then lastly the stem from the bird punch to make the brim.  Once you get a template you just hold it over a  piece of 4x 5¼ inch pool party cs and use it to guide you.  You can whip out several in a hurry this way.
Run it thru the northern flurries or stamp some snowflakes on the pool party, add some rhinestones and a greeting (I stamped mine in island indigo) and you are DONE!  It is so quick!

GOOD NEWS FOR THE DAY, one of the punches is on sale this week in Stampin' Up! weekly deals.  Head on over to my website to order.  www.rheastamps.stampinup.net  click "shop now" and place your order.  Or you can call me or email me your order.  Hostess code :  TTXPMG42

Christmas Challenge

I was feeling up for a challenge today and a challenge I got...so I found a challenge to do in which you were asked to use Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso...sounds easy enough, right???  Now make it Christmas!  Yikes!  But...here is what I came up with:
My colors look a little wonky in the picture but the ornaments are in Cajun craze and Crushed curry.  I fussy cut them out (so not me...so those of you who know me, don't faint).  Popped them up with dimensionals and added the gold baker's twine.  The greeting is in Early espresso and I sponged the edge of the vanilla layer with the crushed curry ink (that is kind of hard to see).

So...how did I do??

Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to check back as Stampin Up! has some great sales coming our way.  I don't know what they are yet so stay tuned.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great weekend!

Banner Blessings

About a year-and-a-half ago, Stampin' Up! announced a new contest inviting all stampers, demonstrators and non-demonstrators, to put on their creative caps and submit a design for a monster-themed set. You all might remember my sweet friend, Doris, and her winning Monster Maniacs set? :-) I loved the set and didn't mind being the runner-up to her creation. So when Shelli announced at convention that year that there would be another contest, I knew I wanted to try again!
As my mother and I drove back to Vegas from our first convention, we brainstormed all sorts of sayings and phrases that we thought would make a great stamp set. When I went back to work, I couldn't help but doodle here and there. I would draw something, take a picture, and send it to my mom and she'd say yes or no. (She was my upline at the time so I figured she knew what would work. After all, mother knows best!)
One night I was rocking our middle son to sleep and saw the Bible verse I had painted on a canvas to match his spaceship-themed room. "Shine like stars in the universe"--one of my favorite verses of scripture. That's when I decided I wanted to do a scripture set. I sat down and thought of a few that I felt would not only look great on a card but would reach someone who needed to be lifted up.
I was in the Air Force for nine years. All nine years were spent far from family, and even a few months were in the Middle East--away from my husband and our 7-month-old son. Nothing helped more than the scripture verses my mom or dad or my church family would write on my cards. In fact, I still have a scrap of paper with a verse that my dad sent me while I was in basic training.
There's something special about making a card for someone and I wanted these Banner Blessings to make it even more special! Thank you, Stampin’ Up!, for the opportunity, and thanks to everyone for their support! I hope you enjoy the set as much as I have already! :-)
Holly Stene
**Please note the opportunity to design stamp sets is no longer available.

Wonderful Wreath

All the best laid plans...I started this post before I went in for surgery thinking I could finish it and  post it while in the hospital....hmmmm...didn't happen!  But today I will finish it and add some other posts as well.  Lots to look at today.  Get a cup of coffee and enjoy!
I made this card for a swap.  A fun, cute card.

I used the stylish stripes TIEF with the big shot on the white background and the bow that was diecut with the matching framelits to this stamp set found in the holiday catalog on page 9.  It is called Wonderful Wreath.

Here is a close up to show the stripes and also to show the red glimmer paper that I put behind the punched holes to represent the berries on the wreath!  Now onto a new photopolymer stamp set that SU released a while back for Christmas cards...click HERE to view the flyer.  It is called Gentle Peace.  If you want to order on this month's mystery hostess, go to my website and while ordering be sure to enter this hostess code on the page where you view your shopping bag after you start shopping.  Hostess Code:  TTXPMG42

Thanks for stopping by today!  Check back tomorrow for another post.

So very grateful for YOU!!

As I continue thru this whole breast cancer trial...I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for being so understanding and patient.  I will be going in for hopefully...my last surgery in a week so I am busy getting ready for that.  I appreciate each and every one of you that has placed orders even tho I haven't been actively doing workshops, clubs and parties.  I hope to be able to hang on by placing orders until I can get back to actively teaching papercrafting again.  Hang with me, I will get there!

My stamina and energy are still pretty compromised and evenings are my worst time (which is when we usually did classes and clubs).  They keep telling me to be patient!  :-)

So today's card post represents how very grateful I am for all of you and it uses the Gorgeous Grunge set and the For All Things stamp set.  The color me Autumn washi tape goes with it all so well.

and since we had a blackberry bliss base card and it was so dark I did this on the inside:
Did the thumping technique with the markers here.

As you get ready for your fall/winter stamping projects, let me know if you need to  place an order or you can go directly to my website to place your orders.  www.rheastamps.stampinup.net  Just click the shop now button and check with me to see if there is a hostess code open.  I will be finalizing an order today, October 31st!  Happy Halloween to all!

Now is the time!

I know it is only the end of October, but now is the time to get started on Christmas cards!  I posted this card last week on my facebook group but today it will show here as some of you are not on facebook.  :-)

I gave this stamp set, Cheerful Tags and Trim the Tree dsp stack away to a downline member for winning the drawing of the weekly challenges for September.  It also uses the scalloped tag topper punch and some cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon.  A couple of pearls to bling it up a little.  Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget that TODAY IS THE LAST DAY for the MYSTERY HOSTESS PARTY.  Here is the hostess code to use when ordering:
BWMQKAQQ

We are short of the $300 we need to get in the drawing for the Hostess set Good Greetings promotion.  I was hoping to get there so we could have someone win this set before it leaves us forever!

Enjoy your day!

Colors are Bermuda Bay, Tangerine Tango, and Sahara Sand.  The designer series paper is Motley Monsters out of the holiday mini  on page 45.  It just takes a 1" x 3" piece of paper to cover the Hershey's nuggets.  Used the  4"x 6" cello bags from page 200 of the regular catalog.
A fun project!  Happy Halloween everyone!
